Junior Club Day – Sunday 4th March

With the 2018 football season fast approaching, Asquith Soccer Club will be holding it’s Junior Club Day (U6-U11) at Mills Park, Baldwin Avenue, Asquith on Sunday 4th March.

Timetable will be:
U6-U7 1.30 – 2.30pm
U8-U9 2.30 – 3.30pm
U10, G11 & U11 3.30 – 4.30pm

The Junior Club day is primarily about finalising the player lists for each team and identifying coaches & managers.  To help children develop a love for the game in a familiar and stable environment, where possible we aim to maintain the same teams as players transition from U6 to U7, from U8 to U9 and from U10 to U11.

Registrars will be available on the day to accept payments by cash or EFTPOS. Please bring a copy of your invoice to help make the payment process quick and easy.  If you plan to utilise the Active Kids Rebate, this will need to be applied to the registration before payment of the balance. Unfortunately due to logistics we will not be able to process the Active Kids Rebate at the Junior Club Day.

The response to the XLR8 program has been excellent and Club Coaching Coordinator, Keiron Rice, will be available on the Junior Club Day to answer any questions. If you haven’t put your child’s name down for XLR8, the registrars will be taking registrations and accepting payment on the day.

While we finalise the teams and organise coaches & managers, the children will be able to play a game of soccer on the field fully supervised.

To make the day as easy and enjoyable as possible for everybody involved, I will work with the registrars ahead of the Junior Club Day to allocate all registered players into a team. If you have any special team requests to help families with carpooling for your children, please send me an email before the Junior Club Day at [email protected].au.  Please understand that while we endeavour to satisfy any reasonable requests this may not always be possible.  All requests will be treated with strict confidence.

If you have any interest in coaching or managing a team please send me an email before the Junior Club Day. You don’t need any experience in coaching and you don’t need to have played the game before. The early years are about helping the boys and girls develop a love of the game in a fun and friendly environment.  Keiron and I will be available throughout the year to help guide you through the coaching process.

While all players will receive their complimentary socks on the day, there will also be other club merchandise available for purchase including our club hoodies which are always a great addition to the game day outfit in the middle of winter. You will also be able to pick up any merchandise ordered online prior to the day.

On the day we will have a BBQ sausage sizzle running with cold drinks for those looking for lunch or an early dinner for the kids.

I look forward to seeing you all there.

Regards,
Adrian Scott
