LIFE MEMBER – GRANT HARLOW
There was one final piece of recognition at our 2026 Senior Presentation Evening — and one that represents much more than a single season.
Asquith FC is incredibly proud to announce Grant Harlow as a Life Member of our club.
Life Membership is not a recognition Asquith FC bestows often. It is one of the highest honours our club can give, reserved for those whose sustained service and contribution have left a lasting mark on Asquith FC.
Grant’s Asquith story began as a player in 2008. In the years since, there are few parts of the club he hasn’t influenced.
He began coaching our Mixed Youth players in 2010, taking teams from Under 8s all the way through to Under 18s. He spent years helping develop our Girls Youth and Women’s All Age teams and was instrumental in establishing Asquith’s first Men’s Over 35 team.
His involvement has continued across generations and across every level of the club. In recent years he has coached and managed multiple Men’s All Age teams, helping players make the transition from Youth into Senior football. This season he coached our recently promoted MAA3 as they challenged near the top of the Division 3 Championship, while also coaching our Women’s All Age 3.
Off the field, Grant served as President of Asquith FC for six years from 2019 to 2024 and has given many more years to the Committee as Vice President – Seniors, a role he continues in today.
Player. Coach. Manager. Committee member. President.
But Grant’s contribution has never really been about the titles.
At its heart is someone who loves football, loves Asquith FC and wants other people to have the opportunity to enjoy being part of it too.
Across almost 20 years at Asquith FC — including 17 years volunteering in various roles — generations of players have been coached, supported or encouraged by Grant. Some of the children he coached many years ago have gone on to play Senior football alongside him — including his own sons.
Life Membership isn’t recognition of one role, one team or one season. It recognises a sustained and significant contribution to Asquith FC and the people who make up our club.
Congratulations, Grant Harlow – Life Member of Asquith Football Club.
A thoroughly deserved honour and a lasting place in the history of Asquith FC.
